Time spent responding to mwr

So; Micheal Roberts has seen fit to post about me, and so I must take some time to respond.  I'm not sure his intent, in this post, if it is meant as malicious it does not seem to me to be effectively so.  It is mostly a sort of skewed presentation of things others have deemed fit to say of me.

It seems this guy wanted to make a blog just about Tad.

Thaddeus Slamp

I’m going to start with the obvious first which would be the name.
Thaddeus Slamp?!?

That 's my name.  Don't wear it out!  1 of the great lines if the character Slartibardfast, in the hitchhiker novel's of Douglas Adam's is; "Names are unimportant" (about which you need contextualisation to fully appreciate).  I have been using the pseudonym Slarty since before there was a www; in the long gone days of electronic bulletin boards.

Is it just me or does that name sound like something straight out of The Beverly Hillbillies?  He looks to be the best friend of Jethro Bodine if you ask me.

My look varies.  I say in a recent interview in the portland mercury that my fashionability is about a 1 out of a possible 10.  I don't know if I had a chance to say, or if I did, whether the record was made of my reason.  I'm a bum, and I don't have much control of how I look.  W/in that constraint, I think I occasionally look quite good.

Had I been saddled with that name I guarantee you at the age of 18 I would have changed it.

Is the author sure?  IF your Father were a big name @ Intel Corporation, as was mine, would you have deemed your Father incapable of giving you an adequate name?  The late 80's were a different time.  If you had anything more than mild disdain for some1s name you were considered an idiot, if memory serves.  It still strikes me as idiotic today, and I hope, therefore, that the author is lunatic fringe level minority in his view.

To what I don’t know but it would hard to come up with something worse than Thaddeus Slamp.

Names are unimportant.

So, just what is it that makes Thaddeus Slamp a tard?  I’m sure if we take a look at his arrest record it will shed some light on the issue.

This is what the guy posted at pbxtards. So far he has only written about one guy, and that was tad.
It’s almost like he just wanted to say that tad was atard.
I think if the guy was  any   kind of blogger he would have uncovered, Tad’s other criminal history which is a far more intresting story.
Like this one from a  beaverton paper.

Don't quite your day job in search of a career as a serious journalist!  Maybe I am out of touch.  I was aware of this article, before Mr. Roberts re-presented it.  I considered it near below worthy of any attention whatever then, and see no reason to revise the assessment.

Time for MWR's next presentation:

Should any1 wonder (and whether 1 believes me or not) I don't seek to hide what follows.  In fact; I'm actually proud of what actually went down, tho could be much happier w/the story the news media wished upon me (The central news pretty much get what they want).  I responded to the whole thing in a "poem" I posted in several usenet news groups, about a year after the incident presented.

‘Jilted’ man takes his revenge to the hilt

The author likes words w/"ilt"?

Transient arrested after Friday afternoon tire-slashing spree in store parking lot

The Beaverton Valley Times, Jul 8, 2006, Updated Oct 30, 2009

A sort-of jilted man whose misguided affections were not returned by a grocery story clerk was arrested Friday afternoon after he allegedly slashed more than four dozen tires on cars in the Peterkort area.

This sentence is true.  I think it may be the only true sentence in the article.

Thadeus Slamp, 35, a semi-regular customer of the Albertsons grocery store on Barnes Road near Southwest Cedar Hills Boulevard, was taken into custody at about 3
